Formula E: Future technology in mobility

Formula E is representing future technologies in mobility – innovative, contemporary and sustainable. Therefore, ConMoto is a proud advisor and sponsor of the racing stable HWA RACELAB, the most recent team to join the Formula E championship. HWA and ConMoto are driven by a common passion: “We set things in motion.” Or as HWA are putting it: Engineering Speed.

Whereas the HWA racing stable is currently debuting at the fully electrified racing series, they are by no means new to the elite of motorsports. Moreover, they can be proclaimed one of the most successful players in international motorsports in providing the task force for Mercedes AMG who are accounting for eleven driver’s titles and more than 180 race victories of the German Touring Car Championship (DTM). HWA AG was founded by Hans Werner Aufrecht in 1998. They operate within the fields of car racing as well as vehicle and component construction.

ConMoto is more than just a sponsor for HWA. We are partners working together to deliver maximum performance. ConMoto consultants support HWA in optimizing its production and business operations. Our work behind the scenes is an important contribution to their record times on the track.

“We get companies moving and achieve measurable results,” says ConMoto’s Managing Partner Christoph Siegel. “Our commitment to the HWA RACELAB is an exciting challenge. In the world’s first all-electric racing series, technical excellence goes hand-in-hand with sustainability.”

Confident Formula E debut

“In the past few weeks and months we’ve worked hard to establish ourselves in this highly competitive series,” says Ulrich Fritz, team leader of the HWA RACELAB.

“We’re approaching the challenge with a healthy mix of confidence and respect. We expect to learn a lot this upcoming season, but I’m sure we’ll make our mark in the series and become a force to be reckoned with.”

Formula E-Season 2018/19

Briton Gary Paffet (DTM champion 2005 and 2018) and Belgian Stoffel Vandoorne are behind the wheels of the two all-electric HWA RACELAB cars. The season opened in Riad, with twelve more races scheduled in major world cities including Marrakech and Hong Kong, ending in New York in July. A special highlight was the home race in Berlin in May, with coverage of this and several other races on the primetime German TV stations ARD and ZDF.
