The previous weekend saw the Formula E racing world visiting Berlin. To be more precise, itsformer Berlin-Tempelhof airport, an impressive backdrop with a generous main building and light tarmac. Where aircraft engines used to roar, this weekend only the whir and purr of the electrically operated racing cars could be heard. Ideal conditions for the tenth, and therefore third-to-last race of the season, where “our”HWA Racelab drivers started at positions 2 and 4.
As before in this season and especially in the Formula E, the visitors were able to enjoy a fantastic and thrilling race. In the end, Audi with their driver Lucas di Grassi came in first before the local audience. Di Grassi is a hot contender for winning the season since he now ranks second in the overall competition. The year before, the Brazilian was able to score the most points, too. In the current season his direct contender is Jean-Eric Vergne, driving the DS Techeetah and currently holding first place.
The drivers of our sponsoring partner HWA Racelab were able to reach rank 5 (Stoffel Vandoorne) and rank 16 (Gary Paffett). Vandoorne managed to score points for the overall competition for the fourth time. Congratulations!

The next Formula E venue is Switzerland. On June 22nd in Berne we will hopefully be able to experience another exciting racing weekend. Of course, we will keep our fingers crossed for our team!
